(European) Digital Innovation Hub INNOVATE ((E)DIH INNOVATE for short)
INNOVATE is a digitalization center that has been active in a national context since 2021 and beyond national borders as a European Digital Innovation Hub since 2022. The initiative is supported by federal, state and European Union funds, which is why the programs offered are free of charge for small and medium-sized enterprises and companies. INNOVATE aims to identify the potential of the digital transformation and translate it into practical applications together with small and medium-sized enterprises in the agriculture, forestry, timber and energy sectors.
INNOVATE is an association of several digitization centers in Austria, consisting of universities, research institutes and innovation centers, whose declared goal is to link technological innovations with Austrian and European practice in a meaningful and long-term manner.
Together with small and medium-sized enterprises in Austria, the initiative develops independent, free and practical digital solutions. The tailor-made program, which is dynamically adapted to the needs of SMEs, is carried out by international technology and innovation experts and has a wide range of different focus partners in the technology sector.
What is special about INNOVATE is not only the integrated approach along the entire innovation value chain, but also the seamless accompaniment of the offers through coaching and support measures in practice, as well as access to the infrastructure of relevant digitization facilities.
Digitalization holds great potential for the future of Austrian companies. This is precisely where INNOVATE comes in. Together with SMEs, it simplifies their day-to-day work, improves processes, optimizes safety standards, tackles risks such as environmental influences like climate change or pandemics head-on and secures competitive advantages. New products and services are developed together. The core element here is not technology alone, but a sensible interplay of innovative, technical innovations with a clear focus on the people behind them, on data protection and on sustainability.
